Server upgrades
We’ve added some cluster servers to hopefully speed up my.imagepile and regular mirrors, there were some bumps this weekend as I was in Vancouver and of course since I leave for a nice vacation everything breaks ever couple hours… I guess that just shows how much maintenance is really needed to keep things running smoothly when you get 15-20 million hits a day ^.^
I’ve take a bunch of pictures of our colo at the Login Datacenter of some of our servers and our new partner Red Leaf Networks (redleafnetworks.com) who will be providing dedicated servers and colocation right next to the imagepile gear on the same high quality Qwest and Limelight blend 🙂

Vista == Pwn3d
http://blogs.zdnet.com/Ou/?p=418
Apparently the Microsoft engineers forgot to put in a way to stop someone from downloading a mp3 and playing it which can completely cripple the OS
Fark Headline:
“Microsoft confirms VIsta can be pwn3d just by talking to it. Repeat after me: “Delete Star Dot Star””

Vista on the horizon – Soup up your spam filters
With the release of vista starting tomorrow, it’s scary to think I have to consider beefing up the ram in my mail server(s) to prepare for it’s release and the onslaught of zero day exploits and comprimised and zombied machines as the result of 6 years of microsofts worst work yet.
Hooray for watching my mail server(s) get hammered tomorrow *sigh*
